What operators ask before they start
Do I need to be good with computers?
No. Setup is a checklist, and only one part of it is required: add at least one service you sell. That takes about two minutes, and a sample job is seeded for you, so your first hour is spent poking at a job that is not real.
My clients are older. Will they actually use a portal?
They get an emailed link, or you copy the link and send it however you already talk to them. It opens in their phone browser with no app to install. They set one password the first time, and after that it is a tap to review and sign.
I have jobs running right now. How do I switch?
Create the job, drop in the documents and photos you have, and send the next invoice from VuseDesk. You do not need to rebuild history for it to start paying off this week.
Does VuseDesk take a cut of what my clients pay me?
No. VuseDesk never holds your money, because it never processes it. You get paid the way you already do and record it here. Whatever your processor charges is theirs, in your own account, and VuseDesk adds nothing on top of it.
How many people can I add?
Five seats come with the plan. Past that, seats come in blocks of five for $15 a month, so you only pay when the crew actually grows.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your workspace goes read only and stays available. We do not automatically delete it, and you can ask us to delete it whenever you want. What you can export today is your client list and your payment history as CSV files, plus a zip of one job's documents at a time.
What happens when I start using subs?
Upgrade to the General Contractor plan from inside your account. Stripe prorates the switch and it takes effect right away. Everything you built carries over, and every sub gets their own scoped login.
