About VuseDesk
VuseDesk is job management software for contractors and service businesses. It runs estimates and quotes, scheduling and dispatch, tasks and checklists, e-signatures, invoicing and a client portal from one place. We built it because we needed it on our own jobs first.
Our mission
Two prices, both published, and no sales call standing between you and the product.
We want to give you something you cannot get anywhere else, which is a software company that actually understands what it is like to run a service business. We have written the estimates, waited on the deposits, and eaten the cost of a change order nobody signed. That shapes every decision we make.
No automated sales bots. No nickel and dime add-ons for the features you were already counting on. If you need something, you talk to a real human, and that human can help you.
Here is what that looks like in practice. If you needed one more seat for your business and genuinely could not afford it, we would work it out with you. That is the point of the whole thing.
We fit into the way you already run instead of asking you to run it our way. A two person outfit opens People and sees two people: roles, pay levels, skills and routines stay folded away until the day you set them up.
We are here to help you run your business, not to drain your pockets, and if you need something you talk to a real human.
Who it is for
Roofing to pest control. If the work gets quoted, scheduled, done and invoiced, the loop is the same one and the software follows it.
Our niche is contractors, and our focus is helping a small operation grow into a bigger one. Roofing, siding, concrete, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, remodeling and restoration crews all run the same core loop: quote it, schedule it, do it, document it, and get paid for it without chasing anyone.
The product is modular, so it works just as well for any service based business. Cleaning companies, pressure washing and window cleaning crews, pest control routes and other field service teams run on the same tools. Nothing assumes you charge the way the last company did: a service can be quoted per job, billed hourly or daily, priced per square foot, floored at a minimum charge, or sold in a unit you name yourself.
The Contractor plan is $39.99 a month. The General Contractor plan at $99.99 adds the subcontractor side: a vendor directory, a bid board, phases with a vendor on each, insurance and W-9 tracking, 1099 year end totals, automations you write yourself, and more than one client on a single job. See what each one includes on the VuseDesk pricing page.
Six ways to price a service, including one you name yourself. A crew that sells by the linear foot never has to pretend it sells by the hour.
Real support
One queue, and the people reading it can change something. No script, no first tier, no promise of a call back.
Our support team is not a call center working off a script. They are members of the dev team, and they have real authority to make decisions. When you call or file a ticket, you get someone who can act on it, not someone who has to escalate it and promise a call back.
We set the company up so the rules can be bent, because we are the ones who wrote them. If your situation does not fit the standard answer, say so. Most of the time we can do something about it.
What we believe
Not slogans. Each one is a rule the software already enforces, which is the only kind you can hold us to.
A signature stamps a name, a time and an IP into the PDF, and the file locks. Every signature, payment and approval is recorded against that job with the time on it. There is no read receipt, so nothing here claims to know when a client looked at something.
Clients and payments export as CSV, and any job's documents download as a zip. Cancel and your workspace stays, read only, and we do not automatically delete it.
Your least tech savvy client signs, pays and approves from a link in their phone browser. No app to download, and one password the first time.
Every one of these was a decision, not an omission. They are the reason the record holds up when somebody argues with it.
A price guessed off an upload is a real financial error. A sub types the number into the bid form, so what you compare is what they meant.
Pay changes when a person approves something that was proved, and signs for it. A rating on its own touches nobody's pay level.
Not on a task, not on a tool, not on a job. There is no screen in it that can display a price, so a phone left on a tailgate cannot leak one.
The file locks at the signature. A change goes out as an addendum or a change order, with its own signature and its own timestamp.
Card and ACH settle into your own connected Stripe account. VuseDesk is not in the middle of it, and takes nothing out of it.
Custom software
Some jobs do not fit a product that was made for everybody. When that happens we build the thing itself.
Some companies need something no off the shelf product does: a specific workflow, equipment to track, a system that has to talk to the software you already pay for. We have a team that builds those systems from scratch, for one company, around how that company actually works. Tell us what you are trying to solve and we will tell you straight whether we can build it.
We run on it too
We use VuseDesk for our own service work, on the same product you sign up for, not a special internal build. Same screens, same job management, same path from the first estimate to getting paid. If a step is clumsy, we feel it the week you do, and it gets fixed.
The tour is the real interface running on a made up roofing company. It holds no account, it connects to nothing, and nothing you do in it is saved.
Questions
Short answers, and not one of them promises something the software does not already do.
Set up your first job this afternoon, and if something does not fit how you run things, tell a real person and we will look at it.
