Services

How the services work.

Costs, timelines, ownership, and what happens after you contact us.

Consulting

Business consulting

What does it cost?
$199 for 20 minutes, $399 for 60 minutes or $899 for 120 minutes. A 60-minute developer session is $499. There is no retainer and nothing renews.
How long is the call?
20, 60 or 120 minutes, one to one, on the problem you choose.
What do I get afterwards?
Written recommendations, prioritized for action, within five days of the call.
Who is it for?
Owners who know something in the business is harder than it should be, where the same problem keeps coming back, or where too much depends on one person. It is not a done-for-you implementation, and it is not legal, tax, or accounting advice.

Custom software

Custom software

How is a build scoped?
You show us the workflow, spreadsheet, or handoff that is fighting you. We define the smallest useful version of the tool that fixes it, rather than the largest one we could build.
When do I get a price?
Before any build starts. The scope, the price, the ownership terms, and the expected ongoing costs are all in the quote, and nothing is built or charged until you approve it.
How long does it take?
It depends on the scope, so the timeline is quoted with the price rather than promised in advance on this page.
Who owns it, and who hosts it?
Ownership, hosting, credentials, and ongoing support are set out in your proposal. Those terms are the ones that apply, and they are agreed before the build rather than after it.
What happens after launch?
We build, test, hand over, and document the system. Any support arrangement beyond handover is priced in the same proposal.

Government contracts

Government-contract setup

What is in the $5,500?
SAM.gov registration support, UEI and entity-validation support, NAICS selection, set-aside review, your capability statement, bid-search and portal setup, and help identifying the first solicitations that fit the business.
Is SAM.gov itself free?
Yes. SAM.gov does not charge a fee to register. The $5,500 is for VuseDesk's setup, preparation, implementation, and support work.
How long does it take?
About a month from start to bid-ready, depending on how quickly the business information and documents come back.
What do you need from me?
The business information and documents needed for registration and entity validation. We tell you exactly what those are at the start rather than asking for them piece by piece.
Does this guarantee I win work?
No. Registration and bid readiness do not guarantee eligibility for every program or the award of a contract. Requirements vary by agency, solicitation, industry, and set-aside.

Acquisition

Acquisition readiness

What do you review?
The six things a buyer notices: owner dependence, recurring versus one-time revenue, financial cleanliness, documented operations, customer concentration, and management depth.
How do I prepare?
By building the operating records, workflows, and delegation a buyer will expect to see, before a buyer asks for them rather than during a sale.
Is the conversation confidential?
Yes. Nothing about your business is published, shared, or listed anywhere as part of this work.
Do you value the company or broker the sale?
No. VuseDesk is not a broker, a valuation firm, an attorney, a CPA, or an investment bank. This work is operational readiness: making the business easier to transfer. The sale itself belongs with the appropriate broker, attorney, CPA, valuation professional, or buyer.

What it costs

Prices up front, before you speak to anyone.

Nothing is quoted after the fact.

Marketing is not a fifth line here. It is one of the three business consulting topics, chosen when you book.

Before you book

The six questions people ask.

Short answers about the services. If your question is about the software itself, the help center is the page you want.

Do I need the software to hire you for any of this?
No. Consulting, government contracts, custom software and business acquisition are separate from the subscription and none of them require it. If you do want the software it is $39.99/mo for a contractor and $99.99/mo for a general contractor, and the pricing page lists what is in each plan. You can also open the product tour first: it runs on a fictional company, holds no account, and saves nothing you do in it.
Is the vendor network something I buy separately?
No. It is part of the General Contractor plan at $99.99/mo. Subcontractor logins, insurance and W-9 tracking, the bid board and year-end 1099 totals are all in the subscription, and subcontractor logins do not count against your five included seats. There is nothing extra to add to the bill.
What happened to marketing?
It is part of business consulting now. Marketing and growth is one of the three topics you choose when you book, and every business session ends with written recommendations, prioritized for action, within five days.
Which one should I start with?
If you are not sure, book the business consult and say so in the first minute. A 20-minute session is usually enough to work out whether the answer is your pricing, your delegation, a registration, a piece of software, or none of the above.
I need help with the software itself, not with a service.
That is a different page. The help center covers estimates, e-signatures, getting paid, the client portal, team permissions and billing, article by article. If the answer is not in there, contact us.
What do you need from me to start?
For a consulting session, the time you book and an honest answer about where the money stops. For government setup, your legal entity name, your EIN, your physical address, bank details for electronic payment, and the trades you actually work. For a custom build, the job you are trying to get done in the words you would use on the phone. For acquisition, your trade, your state, how long you have been running and roughly how big.
